M. Alex Nava was born in San Antonio, Texas, December 2, 1976. During his seven years of practice, all at Davis, Cedillo & Mendoza, Inc., Mr. Nava has focused on representing companies in litigation as well as insurance companies in first and third party matters and their insureds in tort and business litigation (including claims involving professional negligence and construction defects). He has also represented insureds in matters against insurance companies. In 2012, Mr. Nava parted ways with Davis, Cedillo & Mendoza, Inc. to open his own firm, Allan, Nava & Glander, PLLC.
Mr. Nava played baseball for and received a B.A. in English and History from West Texas A&M University in 1999 and a J.D. from the St. Mary’s School of Law in 2004. He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the United States District Court, Western District of Texas and has significant trial experience. He was elected a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation in 2007. In 2008 and 2011 Mr. Nava was recognized by Scene In S.A. Magazine as a “Rising Star” in San Antonio.
Mr. Nava’s past non-profit board service includes: Historic Design Review Commission from, 2006 through 2009 and United Communities of San Antonio, 2009 through 2011. Since 2006, Mr. Nava has served as a board member of Port San Antonio (formerly Kelly Air Force Base) where he is currently the Vice Chair on the board. In 2011, Mayor Julian Castro appointed Mr. Nava to serve as a co-chair of the Parks Committee for the City of San Antonio 2012 – 2017 Bond Program. Mr. Nava is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the following organizations: William S. Sessions American Inn of Court; State Bar of Texas; San Antonio Bar Association; Defense Research Institute; San Antonio Young Lawyers Association; Federal Bar Association; American Bar Association; and Texas Association of Defense Counsel. In his free time Mr. Nava enjoys spending time with his wife, Brenna (also an attorney working as counsel for Rackspace), and their three children Isabella, Cydney, and Joseph.
